House Moment.

Ok, so for my fellow House followers, I had my own 5 second “walk-and-talk” moment at work today.  You know, where House (or in my case, my boss) is walking urgently down the hall throwing around diagnosis ideas with Foreman or 13 or whoever, doctor coats flapping?  Only in this case it was my boss, research tech/grad students, walking around the corner in a research building, talking about a BAC prep and the broken down cell sorter.  But it was cool.  Really, there should have been cameras.  We were like gliding around the corner, and everything seemed really important.  Am I a dork? Yes, probably.  Ok, most likely.

P.S. - This picture isn’t exactly what I’m talking about (I WISH I could find a better one, usually I’m a pretty good googler), but this one’s great b/c House’s shoes are pretty awesome.  By the way, my running shoes still make me smile!  I’ve been running outside (with thermals) and at the gym (just joined a few weeks ago) a few times a week.

New Running Shoes.

So, I bought new running shoes.  I dragged a friend from work along with me to pick them out.  We went to this great store in Manhattan where you can test out your shoes on a treadmill…with a video camera…in front of everyone…and these were the winners!  My goal is to use them. A lot.  To train for triathlons.  I had to start the training somewhere, right? And new shoes is where I’ve decided to start.

I also promised a friend that I would start a blog…tonight.  (I’ve been trying to start one for a while now, with pretty much no success.)  But what better time to start a new blog than with a new beginning?  New shoes for a new year’s goal (triathlons) and a new me.  My mom said, ‘hmm…new running shoes…it’s about new beginnings and running…just run with it!”

So I am.  Here’s to blogging!
